Ask Consequence about his fellow G.O.O.D. Music teammates and the Queens rapper will always have a story. In a recent interview with the rap vet co-signed XXL Freshman alum Big Sean sharing an anecdote about the Kanye West protégé to illustrate his strong work ethic.

“I def have dealt with Sean on a few different occasions,” Cons told XXL. “[The] first time that he really impressed me and just really showed me he was for real was when we did a concert maybe two years ago called ‘G.O.O.D. Music Takes Over the Knitting Factory’ that I headlined and put together in which it was him, Kid Cudi…and I actually brought Kanye and Q-Tip onstage—that was the first time they ever performed together. Sean actually drove from Detroit here [NYC]…the day before. ’Cause it was kinda like wishy-washy whether he was gonna be able to make it, and he was just like ‘I’m coming, ’cause I can’t afford to miss the opportunity. And I was like ‘see that right there is gonna keep you in the game…so I salute him for that.” [Watch below]

Cons to the Quence was excited upon hearing that Big Sean was a part of XXL’s 2010 Freshman Class. “ I definetly think it was a good look for the team,” he said. “He’s a good dude, no pun intended…and he’s a hard worker.”

Both Consequence and Sean are working on new material. BS is putting together his major label debut Finally Famous while Cons is putting the finishing touches on his new disc on Motown/Universal Cons TV which will be co-produced by both Kanye and his cousin Q-Tip. As of press time neither album has an official release date.
